Moving to Beautiful British Columbia
55
British Columbia is well known for its majestic beauty. Lush forests and sparkling lakes cover the region, making it a popular vacation province for many Canadians. Many people decide to move to beautiful British Columbia because they want to leave the hectic city life behind, or they just want to enrich their living by being closer to nature. Whatever the reason, British Columbia continues to be a popular place to explore.
If you are moving to BC from Alberta for instance, then you will want to ensure that you obtain all the proper new documentation for the move. You will have to a obtain BC Care Card for Health coverage if you wish to use medical services. The system is slightly different from Alberta where Health Care is covered. As nice as free health coverage is, Alberta still doesn’t have the mountains or nature beauty that you’ll find in British Columbia. Obtaining all the necessary documents is always important when you move. Keep all the needed documents together in a protective case that won’t get damaged when you move.
The biggest part of any move is the packing. This is why I suggest starting early. Depending on where you are moving from, how you are moving, and what you are moving; this will be your compass as to when to start. Generally, it’s always good to start weeding out what you don’t need a few months before the move. Donate items you don’t use or things you haven’t used in a year or longer. Selling items is a good way to gain money for the move, but it’s nice to give as well. I like to think of this process as purging. It clears away the unnecessary in your life and makes way for the new. Accumulating things is easy; it’s getting rid of things that can be hard. Just as moving is a transition of change, so is letting go of our so-called possessions. Moving is a healthy process if you can approach it with a healthy attitude!
